Walter Scarborough

Mr. Scarborough, FCSI, CCS, CCCA, SCIP, is Senior Specifier and Dallas Office Manager of HALL. He is the former Vice President and Director of Specifications for HKS Architects in Dallas. He has more than thirty years of technical experience in architecture and building construction that has included contract document production, construction administration, management, and construction specifications.

Walter has extensive specifications experience on major projects including Dallas Cowboy Stadium, American Airlines Center, and Dallas Convention Center Additions. He has expertise in the area of healthcare and includes among his project work Children’s Medical Center, George Washington University Medical Center, Crawford Long Hospital and Medical Office Building, and St. Edward’s Medical Center.

Walter serves on the ARCOM MasterSpec Architectural Review Committee, CSI Education Committee, and the CSI Practice Guide Task Team. His writing credits include Building Construction – Principles, Materials and Systems, a college text book co-authored with Madan Mehta and Diane Armpriest and published by Pearson-PrenticeHall, 2009. He has also written numerous for professional and technical publications. Walter also lectures in the University of Texas at Arlington in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management Program.
